Friday is National Chocolate Day

(WISH) – Friday is National Chocolate Day, which means it’s a day to celebrate all things chocolate.

Here are some facts about chocolate:

  • There are around 1.5 million cocoa farms in West Africa
  • The farms in West Africa produce 70 percent of the world’s cocoa
  • It takes 400 cocoa beans to make one pound of chocolate
  • It takes four to five years for a cocoa tree to produce its first beans
