MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A Montgomery County mother who told police she killed her own children pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday.
Brandi Worley, 30, appeared in court by video from the Montgomery County Jail. She faces two counts of murder after her 7-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter were fatally stabbed Nov. 17.
A jury trial is set for April 11.
In a 911 call, Worley stated: “I just stabbed myself and killed my two children,” according to police.
Court records show that her husband, Jason Worley, had filed for divorce the day before the murders.
Court filings show that Brandi told Jason “now you can’t take the kids from me.”
The employer of Jason Worley set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs.
