Did you know? April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month – The Julian Center is drawing attention the issue by asking people to take pictures of themselves holding a sign that says “I believe you”. One of the biggest issues that women face when it comes to finding help after they have been assaulted is that people do not believe them. The Julian Center wants to change that and draw attention to how people can help by simply believing them.

Thrifty Threads is a shop located at 1501 West 86th street. It’s a resale store, and donation center for The Julian Center, a NFP to benefit the victims of domestic violence. The shop has wonderful fashion finds and home goods at great prices. They offer discount days too for even deeper bargains.
