Festival of Trees happening at the Indiana Historical Society

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -The Indiana Historical Society has already gotten the holiday season kicked off early with their annual Festival of Trees.

This year there are 80 different trees, each decorated with a different theme. This year there is a new tree, which is a 30 foot, “show-stopper tree” that sits front and center.

The event started four years ago and has grown every year.

There are special programs that will happen throughout the holidays. There will be a Sugarplum Breakfast where children can meet characters from The Nutcracker. There wil be imbibe craft brews at Good Beers and Ugly Sweaters event.

On Dec. 2, IHS will host the Holiday Author Fair from noon to 4 p.m. Admission will be free that day.
