SANTA CLAUS, Ind. (WISH) – One popular Indiana attraction is planning a multi-million dollar expansion.
Holiday World has announced it will be adding an elephant-themed water play area for younger children next year.
Included in the announced expansion will be a water slide complex with eight junior slides. Additionally, there will be a wave pool for the kiddos.
The southern Indiana theme park says the new area will be called Tembo Falls and Tembo Tides. Tembo is Swahili for elephant.
Also, the popular park says they are planning track improvements to one of their most popular rides: The Voyage.
The total cost for the expansion and improvements is estimated at $3.5 million.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the newly-announced additions when the park opens in May 2018.
