Man, woman with 8 warrants arrested following traffic stop
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A man and a woman who had eight warrants out for her arrest were taken into custody following traffic stop in Columbus.
According to the Columbus Police Department, a vehicle was stopped in the area of 10th and Wilson Streets at approximately 1:30 Friday morning for a traffic violation.
Police say that while talking to the driver, 23-year-old Bryan Miranda-Alvidrez, the odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle.
A subsequent search for the vehicle lead to the discovery of a bag of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Both the Miranda-Alvidrez, and the passenger, 25-year-old Brittnee Bryant, were taken into custody.
Bryant, it was discovered, had eight warrants out for her arrest.
Miranda-Alvidrez and Bryant face a number of preliminary charges including possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
