Fewer teens obtaining summer jobs

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Fewer teens are taking part in the tradition of obtaining a summer job.

This trend is occurring despite plenty of employment opportunities.

Bloomberg reports many are studying instead.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says many students aren’t getting out of school until later in the year. Others are attending summer school and some have already enrolled in college courses.
