Delta stops flights over computer issue
(CNN/WISH) — Delta Air Lines on Tuesday night was dealing with some kind of outage with its computer systems and stopped its flights due to the problem.
Passengers were complaining on Delta’s Twitter page and said they could not sign in or access their boarding passes on the app. Delta told those passengers the issue was with the airline’s computer system, but did not elaborate, only adding that technical support was working to fix the issue.
Delta tweeted at 9:28 p.m.:
“Our teams have restored all IT systems after a technology issue briefly affected some of our systems this evening. All groundstops have been lifted.”
At Indianapolis International Airport, seven arrivals and one departure were marked as delayed at 9 p.m., but it was not known if they were part of the problem with the computers.
In a statement, the airline apologized for the inconvenience.
