Great Sunday with storm chances increasing Monday

Fall begriming on a chilly start especially for northern parts of the state! This morning some folks waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper 40s while clouds keep from Indianapolis and points south in the 50s. Lots more sunshine during the day with highs warming to the mid 70s. Clouds will begin to thicken late tonight with our next weather maker. This will increase our rain chances overnight and through the day on Monday. 

Indianapolis (WISH) 

Heading out the door for Monday morning will be a soggy one for some but not all. Bring the umbrella though, showers and storms will become scattered during the afternoon. A Marginal Risk of strong to severe storms possible during the day. Main threats will be damaging winds and hail. Highs will top out near seasonal in the mid 70s. 

Tuesday will be another soggy day with rain and thunderstorms likely with some turning strong to severe. Slight risk of strong to severe storms during the day on Tuesday with the main threats being damaging winds and hail. High temperatures will be the warmest we see all week topping out in the mid to upper 70s.  A few lingering showers could impact the early half of the day Wednesday with highs in the lower 70s. 

Thursday and Friday cooler air arrives as highs tumble to the lower 70s with mainly sunny skies. The quiet stretch of weather continues through Saturday as rain chances increase Sunday with highs in the mid 70s.
