Scattered storms possible Thursday; cooler conditions for weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A few strong to severe storms are possible, Thursday. Cooler temperatures settle in for the weekend with additional rain chances.

TONIGHT: We have the chance to see isolated showers in the late afternoon to early evening hours. Despite the small rain chance, it will be a mainly dry and warm evening. Clouds will clear out after midnight.

Lows will slip into the mid 60’s with outlying areas falling into the low 60’s.

THURSDAY: There is the chance that we could have scattered strong to severe storms in the afternoon hours. A marginal risk of severe weather is in place for most of Northern Indiana. Hail and isolated damaging winds will be the primary threats along with locally heavy downpours. Rain should clear much of the area by mid evening.

Highs will top out in the mid 80’s.

FRIDAY: A nice day is in store for us as we will be dry throughout the day. It’ll be a nice day to make plans and get some lawn work done. Highs will rise near 80°.

8 DAY FORECAST: Below average temperatures, but comfortable conditions will settle in for this weekend. Scattered rain chances return by Sunday evening and will carry through Monday before those chances lower to being isolated by Tuesday. Temperatures will remain around 80° for the beginning of the new work week and will settle into the low 80’s by the middle of next week.
