Police safely locate missing 72-year-old man

UPDATE: Police announced around 7 p.m. Sunday that they had located David Taylor, and he was safe.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing 72-year-old man.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 72-year-old David Taylor was last heard from on Friday evening and was reported missing on Sunday. 

Police described Taylor as a black male, 5-foot-10 and about 185 pounds, last seen wearing green trousers and a white shirt. Taylor is taking medication and could be affected by the heat and humidity, according to IMPD.

Taylor is known to walk everywhere he goes and, according to police, may frequent the areas of 500 North East Street or the 2800 block of East 56th Street.
