National Weather Service confirms tornado hit of Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Officials with the National Weather Service confirmed that an EF1 tornado struck Madison County Friday afternoon.

The tornado started and ended in Moonville around 3:50 p.m and lasted for about two minutes.. It peaked with winds at 100 miles per hour.

The tornado destroyed a barn, produced tree damage and flipped a storage shed in its path.

No injuries were reported.
