Downtown safety after weekend shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Three shootings over the weekend left nine people wounded all in one night.
One of those shootings happened downtown near the intersection of Illinois and Maryland streets, sending six people to the hospital.
Major Kendale Adams from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department stopped by Daybreak Monday.
He discussed what IMPD is doing to enhance security downtown, whether there are any leads in the shooting and what steps the department is taking to help combat violence downtown.
