Gmail adds ‘undo send’ feature

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (MEDIA GENERAL) – We’ve all wanted to do it at one time or another. Now, Google is letting you undo those embarrassing emails you send.

Gmail has launched the “undo send” feature. If you make a typo or just regret sending a message, you can undo the action by enabling the “undo send” lab. This will let you take back a message you just sent.

To make it work, you click the gear in the top right of your Gmail account. Select “settings” and click the “labs” tab. Find the “undo send” lab and select the “enable radio button.” Click “save changes” and you’re ready to recall.

You also have the ability to choose how much time you have to undo sending the message by clicking the gear icon and finding “undo send” in settings. You can choose anything from five to 30 seconds.
