Police make arrest in Crawfordsville hit-and-run crash
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Crawfordsville have made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that sent a woman to the hospital.
According to police, shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, 37-year-old Jason W. Baldridge was driving a dark-colored sedan when he hit 28-year-old Naomi Wolf, who was walking eastbound on State Road 32 East near State Road 47.
Wolf was taken by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where she is still a patient.
Tuesday morning, police in Crawfordsville followed up on a tip and arrested Baldridge at his home. The car believed to be involved in the crash was also impounded.
Baldridge has been preliminarily charged with leaving the scene of and accident resulting in serious bodily harm.
