Name released of Great Dane worker injured Thursday

BRAZIL, Ind. (WTHI) – More information has been released in regards to the Great Dane accident that happened on Thursday that left one worker seriously injured.

The 23-year-old assembly line worker, Levi Snyder, was seriously injured Thursday evening while on the job. Great Dane stated he was treated on the scene by medical staff and then trasnported to a local hospital. Once he was stable they transported him to St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital for further treatment.

As of Monday morning Snyder was still at St. Vincent in ‘highly guarded condition.’

Great Dane extends its heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Levi’s family, friends and co-workers during this difficult time. Great Dane management and safety officials are working actively with OSHA and plant personnel to understand the cause of this tragic event. Grief counselors will be available this week to all workers in the Brazil plant.
