Amber Hankins named co-host of Indy Style
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Scott Hainey, Creative Director for WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV, today announced Amber Hankins as the new co-host for Indy Style, WISH-TV’s daily lifestyle talk show.
“Amber brings personality, Midwestern charm and a wealth of hosting and reporting experience to WISH-TV and Indy Style, ranging from red carpet and entertainment to children’s programming and news,” said Hainey.
Hankins began her broadcasting career as an anchor and reporter at WCIA, in Champaign, Illinois. She later reported for KCTV in Kansas City, Missouri, where she also co-hosted “KC Zoo Show,” a half-hour children’s program. Hankins made the move from Kansas to Los Angeles, where she covered entertainment news, celebrity fashion, movie premieres, and events. In 2012, Hankins helped launch, RFD-TV, a national news network, as an anchor and live field reporter covering news and events impacting rural communities across the country.
Born and raised in Central Illinois, Hankins is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. She holds a Master’s in Journalism from the University of Illinois. Amber, her husband and two-year old daughter now call Central Indiana home.
Hankins will join co-host Tracy Forner making her “Indy Style” debut on Monday, May 4th. Celebrating its fifth year on the air in March, “Indy Style” offers a sampling of everything Indiana, from fashion to fitness, cooking to DIY projects, and family-friendly events. “Indy Style,” can been seen live weekday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on WISH-TV.
