2 residents, 7 dogs escape fire
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A mother and her son managed to escape from a fire in their home in the 6800 block of McFarland Road on Monday morning.
Indianapolis Fire Department officials say Karel Harmon, 56, and Jacob Tanner, 24, grabbed their seven dogs and evacuated the home after Tanner noticed the clothes dryer was on fire.
The family says they have lived in this home for 30 years. They plan to stay with relatives for now.
There were no injuries due to this fire.
