Woman found dead in alley north of downtown identified
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A woman was found dead early Tuesday morning in an alley north of downtown Indianapolis, police officials said.
Police responded to the alley near North College and Fairfield avenues around 5:20 a.m. after a passerby found the woman. She was found across from an abandoned house.
According to the Marion County Coroner, Amanda Hartley, 26, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department fielded calls earlier in the day about people hearing gunfire in the neighborhood.
