Police: 3 people found dead in Fort Wayne home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The bodies of three men were found inside a Fort Wayne home late afternoon Wednesday.

Officers were called just after 5:30 p.m. to a home on Lewis Street, between Harmar and Division streets across from Hanna Homestead Park, for an unknown reason.

“Uniformed officers arrived and entered the home and discovered three individuals,” police spokesman Michael Joyner said. “They appear to be male, African American, and were deceased in a ground floor room.”

It’s not clear yet how they died and their identities have not been released at this time.

Officers had a “wide-spanning crime scene” on the block around the white, two-story home, which police said was lived in. Crime scene tape was pulled around most of the area, and at least three Fort Wayne Police Department crime scene vans could be seen. Dozens of officers remained on the scene for several hours as police continued their investigation.
