INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — University of Indianapolis has extended its spring break in a “proactive approach” to preventing the spread of the coronavirus, university officials announced Wednesday.

The school’s spring break was originally scheduled for March 9-15. The break has been extended through Sunday, March 22.

“This extension will allow for the University to work closely with faculty to identify the optimal ways to modify the instructional delivery for face-to-face courses,” the university said in an e-mail to students Wednesday.

The campus will remain open during this time, however all academic courses will be suspended.

The university also announced all face-to-face coursework will be moved to online beginning Monday, March 23.

University officials say the school has not experienced any UIndy-associated cases of COVID-19.
