Police: Woman battered during Kokomo home invasion

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Kokomo are searching for a man who battered a woman at her home Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to a home in the 900 block of East Center Road on reports of a burglary Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. A female victim at the home told officers a man entered through an unlocked door and battered her.

The suspect also demanded money from the victim and took several items. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police are looking for a man who is about 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He is in his late 30s or early 40s and has dark eyebrows and a dark beard with gray in it. Police say he was wearing an olive green jacket, dark pants and a gray knitted sock hat.
