River Ridge approves land sale

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — The board of directors for the River Ridge Development Authority has approved the sale of a 52-acre parcel of land expected to bring development and new jobs to the area. 

The board approved executive director Jerry Acy to negotiate the sale to an undisclosed industrial or commercial buyer. The sale is expected to generate $4 million for further development.

“We are pleased to be able to maintain positive momentum at River Ridge,” Acy said. “We expect this land sale to bring more major development, create good-paying jobs for our community and generate new revenue for the state and local governments.”

The development authority currently has over 50 businesses employing 10,000 workers.
