INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Public Schools has announced virtual graduations for four high schools.

IPS says each school’s ceremony will be available on that school’s Facebook page.

“We didn’t make this decision lightly,” Aleesia Johnson, IPS superintendent, said in a statement. “We assembled an advisory group of high school seniors to get their ideas. In the end, students wanted to mark their graduation, as scheduled, in June and felt a virtual celebration was a fitting option in a time of social distancing.”

Here is the schedule:

  • June 4 – Crispus Attucks High School (3 p.m.)
  • June 4 – Arsenal Technical High School (6 p.m.)
  • June 5 – Shortridge High School (2 p.m.)
  • June 5 – George Washington High School (6 p.m.)

The district says more details will be announced at a later date.
