IMPD searching for woman wanted for forgery and theft

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is looking for a woman wanted for forgery and theft.

According to police, on March 15 at 3:34 p.m., a victim had her checks stolen from her purse while she was working in the IU Methodist Medical Tower located at 1633 North Capitol Avenue.

The victim, as well as several others, reported missing items from offices on the same floor of the building.

Police said the suspect cashed one of the victim’s checks for $840.00.

The suspect used the identity of another female when she cashed the check. She was wearing a black t-shirt with stars on it during the time of the incident.
