Carmel
Niche.com has named Carmel the 7th best place to live in the U.S.
Living in Carmel offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Carmel, there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops and parks.
Public schools in Carmel are highly rated.
Corporate trust
The public’s view of almost every industry has improved since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new Axios/Harris poll. Industries with a prominent role in life under quarantine have seen especially big jumps.
Hospitals and healthcare workers ranked highest wither grocers close behind.
Social companies like twitter and Facebook rank in the bottom 10 of the list and are viewed slightly less favorably now than before the pandemic.
United Airlines
United Airlines said it’s going to resume service on more than 25 international routes in September.
The carrier said it plans to fly 37% of its overall schedule in September as compared to the same period last year.
United will add flights to India, Asia, Israel Australia and Latin America from Chicago, New York/Newark, Denver, San Francisco, Houston, Washington and Los Angeles.
Lord & Taylor
Another luxury retail chain has filed for bankruptcy.
Luxury department store chain Lord & Taylor, an industry pioneer dating back nearly 200 years, filed for bankruptcy along with its owner, the venture-backed fashion-rental subscription service Let Tote.
Lord & Taylor temporarily closed its 38 brick-and-mortar locations in March but has continued to operate through online channels as restrictions on nonessential shopping went into effect during the coronavirus pandemic.
