Colts’ Cromartie takes knee during National Anthem
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Colts player joined a number of other players around the NFL when he took a knee during the National Anthem prior to Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Cornerback Antonio Cromartie knelt and raised his fist in the air before Sunday’s game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Cromartie said while some fans might be disappointed in his action, it’s all about creating dialogue within communities.
The protests started weeks ago with San Francisco 49’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick who wanted to draw attention to police treatment of African-Americans.
