INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Did you see something on the WISH-TV Community Calendar and would like more information?
Here are the events we highlighted this week:
- Wednesday December 7th our WISH-Tree “Tweet For Toys” will get underway. We are collecting this year for the children of the Indianapolis Police Foundation. Collect your new, unwrapped toys, send us a tweet at @wish_tv using #tweetfortoys and we’ll come pick them up… sometimes, live on TV!
- Saturday, December 10th, join WISH-TV along with Dick Wolfsie and Scott Sander as we help host this year’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Registration is available on site
- Teens who are book lovers and social media fans are invited to create live action role playing games and other challenges during social studio for teens Wednesday, December 21st at the Lawrence Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
- Military service members, veterans, and their families are invited to a free job search event at the Baxter YMCA on South Shelby Friday, December 16th. Bring your resumes and dress for an interview. Free child care will also be provided.
- The holiday season can be tough if you are out of work. That’s why The Indianpolis Public Library is offering a free job center. There’s help with interviewing techniques, resumes and even basic computer skills. Contact a branch near you for dates and times.
- Sunday, December 11th is World “Help-Portrait” Day. It’s a time when professional photographers, hairstylists, and make-up artists from around the world are encouraged to find people in need, take and print their pictures, then deliver it to them free of charge.
