Great Plains Communications completes acquisition
BATESVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Nebraska-based Great Plains Communications has completed its acquisition of Enhanced Telecommunications Corp. in Batesville. GPC says the acquisition further expands its growing fiber network in southeastern Indiana.
The acquisition was first announced earlier this year, and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Great Plains Communications continues to stay true to our vision to grow strategically by identifying promising opportunities like the ETC acquisition,” said Todd Foje, chief executive officer of Great Plains Communications. “Now that the acquisition process is complete, we can begin working as one company to not only provide exceptional services and enhanced products to our current customer base, but to identify strategic opportunities to serve new markets and expand our network.”
ETC offers high-speed internet, ethernet, voice, video and transport services to more than 14,000 business, wholesale and residential customers.
Great Plains says ETC is its second acquisition completed within the last year. The company acquired St. Louis-based InterCarrier Networks in 2019.
