Brownsburg house fire injures firefighter, neighbor
BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WISH) – A residence fire injured two people on Monday morning, one of them a firefighter.
The Brownsburg Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 5000 block of Newport Avenue around 7 a.m.
When they arrived ,the house was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters say no one was home at the time of the fire but a neighbor injured his hand while breaking windows. He also kicked in a door. He was trying to warn his neighbors of the fire.
A firefighter was also injured during the fire. He was taken to the hospital with back pain.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
