Buff City Soap opens first central Indiana shop

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — Buff City Soap, a store that sells handmade soaps, is preparing to open its first central Indiana location.

The shop will open Thursday in Carmel on Old Meridian Street near West Main. Buff City features natural soaps and bath and body products made in the store each day and customers can choose to customize the scent and ingredients.

“Almost everything you see in this store has been made by our team on site in the last week,” makers manager Erin Edds, said. “So we have been doing production on all of our products, getting everything all set up to roll out on Thursday.”

District Manager Gabrielle Sullivan also gave a behind-the-scenes look at the process.

The store is welcoming customers to its grand opening with a little incentive. The first 50 customers to walk through the doors opening day through Sunday will win free soap for a year.

Buff City Soap is already planning to open a second location in Carmel in May of 2021.
