Independent investigation ordered by Park Tudor, second lawyer hired
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Board of Directors at Park Tudor School has hired another lawyer to conduct an independent investigation of the Kyle Cox case.
According to a letter sent to Park Tudor faculty, parents and alumni, they have hired Larry Mackey and the law firm Barnes & Thornburg LLP.
The letter states that Tom Farlow, an attorney who has been helping with the case, will partner with Mackey in the investigation.
The investigation will cover the allegations against Kyle Cox, a former Park Tudor basketball coach.
Cox is charged with trying to entice a 15-year-old female student into a sexual relationship. He resigned from Park Tudor on Dec. 15 before the investigation was opened and he was arrested.
Park Tudor says they hope the investigation will be completed within 30 days. After that time, they promised to share the findings with the Board and the school community.
They end the letter with this:
We are deeply saddened that the Kyle Cox matter occurred at our school and share with the entire Park Tudor community your anguish and concern. We pledge our commitment, assisted by Mr. Mackey and his team, Judge Tinder and Tom Farlow, to begin the healing process within our community.
