Semi crash along EB I-70 near Greenfield causes 3-hour closure

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — All eastbound lanes of I-70 are blocked for about three hours after a crash near Greenfield, the Indiana Department of Transportation tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

INDOT officials said the crash involved a semi trailer on eastbound I-70 between State Road 9 and State Road 109, that’s about nine miles east of Greenfield in Hancock County.

INDOT first tweeted the eastbound lanes would be closed just after 2 p.m.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.

Drivers should seek an alternate route.
