40 marijuana plants found in Parke County home

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The Parke County Sheriff’s Office arrested one person over the weekend after 40 marijuana plants were found inside a home near Raccoon Lake.

A search warrant was conducted on Sunday around 12 p.m. on Hidden Drive just east of Raccoon Lake.

During that search 40 marijuana plants were located growing inside the residence, in the final stage of growth and ready for harvest.

Officials also report they found about  5 oz. of processed marijuana inside the residence and a system of specific growing lights and temperature control.

Nicholas Steckler, 35, was arrested and taken to the Parke County Jail. He faces charges including dealing marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.
