Short dry stretch ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We strolled into a damp and chilly Monday with early morning showers and storms. A brief break from the rain is ahead before another system moves in by midweek.

Monday night: Showers will continue to move out of the state tonight. Skies will be mainly cloudy with breezy winds sticking around. Lows will fall into the low to mid 40s.

Tuesday: Enjoy a much nicer Tuesday on tap with the return of sunshine and dry air. Winds will become lighter by the afternoon hours. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 50s.

Wednesday: We will keep the near average and calm weather trend going into our Wednesday. Skies will be partly cloudy during the day before they increase by the nighttime hours. Highs look to rise into the upper 50s to low 60s.

8-Day Forecast: The break from the rain will not last long as another system will move in going into our Thursday. Rain chances stick around through Friday before tapering off by early Saturday. Temperatures look to remain near or slightly below normal for much of the extended forecast.
