Semi, van collide halting traffic on I-70

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the 67 mile marker were closed for nearly two hours due to a serious crash.

According to Indiana State Police, the crash happened just after 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday. The crash involved a van and a semi at the 67 mile marker. That’s near the State Road 267 exit.

IPS said one person was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital be medical helicopter. It was not clear how serious the injuries were.

Traffic has since been able to move freely through the area.
