Mecum classic car auction wraps up Saturday at state fairgrounds

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Mecum 28th Original Spring car auction is taking place this weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Vehicles from more than 40 states are on sale, and people from around the world are in town to visit the event.

Many buyers get cars inspected by experts before dishing out top-dollar for the vehicle.

The auction runs until 8 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $20 a person, but children 12 and under are free. Parking is available at the fairgrounds.

Dick Wolfsie visited the auction and talked with organizers.
