IMPD: Person shot during carjacking, robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A person was taken to an Indianapolis hospital Thursday night after a carjacking and robbery, police dispatchers said.

Officers responded to the 3900 block of North Temple Avenue just after 10 p.m. on the report of a person shot. This is near East 39th Street and North Keystone Avenue.

Police say the victim was the passenger of the carjacked vehicle. That person was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound(s). The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, police say.

Dispatchers said two suspects were being sought in connection to the crime, but a description of those suspects or the vehicle they took was not immediately available.
