Warm weekend with storms returning Sunday
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Temperatures should surge to near 70° both days this weekend.
Today:
We’re starting the morning off with quiet conditions and patchy fog across much of the state. Look for much of the fog to lift as we head into the late morning hours. Some peeks of sunshine from time to time this afternoon. Highs top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Tonight:
Quiet and mild conditions overnight. Low fall to the middle 50s
Sunday:
Low pressure system rolls into the Midwest for Sunday. Watch for some scattered showers and storms for the morning hours, before a brief break by midday. Another round of showers and storms will evolve heading into the afternoon and evening hours.
A few storms could be strong to severe. Much of Indiana is under either a marginal risk or a slight risk for severe storms Sunday afternoon, with all modes of severe weather in play.
Highs top out around 70°.
8 day forecast:
Quiet and mild start to the work week. Highs should hover in the middle to upper 60s through Wednesday. A potent system takes aim on the Midwest late week, which brings a chance for rain, storms and colder temps heading into next weekend.
