Indianapolis Moms: Helping babies in need with breast milk donations
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — This week News 8 is focusing on breast milk donations with our friends at Indianapolis Moms.
Indianapolis Moms Contributor, Dr. Lindsay Moore, stopped by Daybreak to explain the importance of breast milk donations and how it works.
“Nonprofit milk banks like the milk bank locally, they give their milk first to hospitals for NICU babies, premature infants, very fragile infants. This can decrease their mortality rates by up to 75% in the highest-risk babies,” Moore said.
