INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman was accidentally shot early Saturday after driving past a shooting in Speedway that left three men injured, police say.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of a walk-in person shot just around 3 a.m. Saturday at Eskenazi Hospital. Police say they located a 55-year-old woman who was believed to have been accidentally shot in the 5400 block of West 34th Street.

The woman was reported to be in stable condition.

Officers believe that this incident was connected to three people that were found shot at an apartment complex in Speedway.

Speedway police responded to a report of a person shot in the 2300 block of Hermitage Court. Police say they located a 30-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, and a 31-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet to at least one of the men shot.

All three men were taken to area hospitals in stable condition. Police say that detectives determined all four were shot near West 34th Street and Moller Road.

Detectives believe that the three men were targeted as they drove away from a liquor store, where they had an interaction with a fourth unknown male suspect. The woman was believed to have been shot as she was driving by.
