Kegan Kline moved to maximum security prison
PERU, Ind. (WISH) — Kegan Kline, the Indiana man who pleaded guilty to dozens of charges related to child pornography, has been moved to a maximum security prison.
An Indiana Department of Correction spokesperson confirmed to News 8 that Kline is now in maximum security at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility near Sullivan.
Online jail records indicate Kline was moved to the facility sometime this week. He had been at the DOC processing facility while state officials determined the best location for his 40-year prison sentence.
On July 27, a Miami County judge ordered Kline to spend 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to 25 felonies, including child pornography, child solicitation, and obstruction of justice.
Prosecutors originally asked for 50 years, while Kline’s attorney had sought 11 years. The presentencing investigation examined Kline’s character, with prosecutors painting him as a master manipulator.
Investigators revealed Kline used at least 5 fake social media profiles to solicit sexually graphic pictures and videos from children. Prosecutors identified six children, but say there are dozens, maybe hundreds more.
Kline’s fake profiles hit police radar when his fake social media account, “anthony_shots,” was connected to the Delphi murders.
Kline’s earliest possible release date from prison is August 2048.
