Pianist Christopher Pitts: From jazz roots to the modern ear

Pianist Christopher Pitts connects the roots of the jazz piano tradition with the modern ear through energetic, thoughtful collaboration, and aesthetic compositions.

As a pianist, he’s been featured with Sean Imboden Large Ensemble, Rob Dixon Triology, and Sedalia Marie at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.

He’s also recorded two studio albums as keyboardist/co-composer “Clint Breeze and the Groove” and served as musical director for the 2018 award-winning “Convergence” program. During the summertime, you’ll often see him playing at the Chatterbox.

Pitts is a 2021 Art & Soul Featured Artist. Performing with Pitts are Nick Tucker (bass) and Carrington Clinton (drums).
