2020 Indiana Latino Expo
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of the cultures and contributions of Hispanics in the United States. The monthlong celebration begins each year on Sept. 15 and lasts through Oct. 15.
Gloria Jiminez, executive director of Indiana Latino Expo, continued the celebration on WISH-TV with a 30-minute broadcast dedicated to Indiana’s Hispanic community leaders and members.
Hispanics represent 18% of the country’s population, according to the 2019 U.S. census. And about 426,000 Hispanics reside in Indiana.
