INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Youth-2-Greatness, or Y2G Indy, continues to host community-led events every last Friday of the month at The AMP to promote and foster intentional community building.

August’s ticketed event called Vibe N’ Paint includes live performances, food, and adult games.

Percussionist Briah Golder and singer Allison Victoria are set to perform while participants partake in raffles, prizes, food, and music by DJ T-Rexx

Y2G Indy events are geared towards the Indianapolis community and neighborhoods surrounding 16 Tech.

Yuri Smith, president of Y2G Indy, says the monthly Grub, Grooves & Games benefits small business owners who have committed to enhancing the community by bringing their passion, food, and services to the area.

“These spaces are essential to our community because at Y2G we believe that everyone we connect with should be enhanced because of our connection. If this process is reciprocated, then our community and world will be better,” Smith said. “These spaces provide our community and us with the opportunity to enhance each other’s lives.”

Smith added, “These events support the culture because we provide spaces for local vendors, artists, entertainers, and other entrepreneurs to share their work. Not to mention, everybody eats with Y2G.”

Vibe N’ Paint is 6-10 p.m. Friday at The AMP at 1220 Waterway Boulevard in Indianapolis. For ticket information, visit the event website.
