‘Gr8 Comeback’: Rite Quality Office Supplies Inc.

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — When Douglas Vaughn started Rite Quality Office Supplies Inc., he created a family atmosphere to go along with it.

His daughters have been helping him keep his business going.

The business motto they go by is “Rite Service, Rite Price, Rite Attitude.” Vaughn says now more than ever, in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, they live by the last part of that motto the most.

“Rite Attitude means that you have to look at the environment and the situations that are going on and seek to look for opportunities that are available during these times and have a positive attitude toward your business and for the future and not be sad and worrying about what’s going on,” Vaughn said.

They adjusted their business model, that was usually for office supplies, furniture and janitorial products, to provide people with a one stop shop for COVID-19 safety items.

“We have a plethora of items,” his daughter, Christina Vaughn, who serves as vice president of operations, said. She also talked about what the support of the community means to her family’s business.

“Support of the community is everything,” she said. “As a small business we have to have support, not just from our own family and friends, but well as the community, government, schools. It makes a difference. You know small businesses, we really thrive when we have the support of others around us in our community.”
