REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE I LOVE TO READ CHALLENGE!

WISH-TV is proud to partner with the NCAA Readers Become Leaders program again this year to encourage a love of reading in third-graders to help them transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.”

The I Love to Read Challenge encourages safe competition among classrooms with a focus on both personal effort and collaborative achievement.  Last year, students in The Challenge read over 1.25 MILLION minutes

This year’s Challenge is a DOUBLE ELIMINATION bracket style contest to bring out the best in students.  The registration link below is open NOW for teachers to sign their classes up for the I Love to Read Challenge!

If you are the parent of a third-grader in Central Indiana encourage your child’s teacher to participate!

I Love to Read is open to third-grade classrooms in the following WISH-TV viewing area counties: Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clinton, Decatur, Delaware, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Putnam, Rush, Shelby, and Tipton.

We hope all the students that participate will continue a lifelong love of reading, but whether your child participates in The Challenge or not, WISH-TV encourages you to grab a favorite book or find a new favorite at your school or local library.  Let’s get reading!
