Magic Thread Cabaret presents ‘Cabaret Latino: Songs of The Americas’

Klein & Alvarez Productions is ready to bring the flavor with four performances of “Cabaret Latino, Songs of the Americas” to the IndyFringe Festival, running August 19 through September 5, 2021.

Audiences have spent quarantine devouring the hugely successful “Selena” TV series and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights” on Netflix, while eagerly anticipating Steven Spielberg’s remake of “West Side Story,” set to hit theatres this holiday season. Now they’re ready to experience the very best Indy’s Latino music scene has to offer with Iris Ramirez, who stars in “Cabaret Latino” and also features international jazz sensation Pavel Polanco-Safadit. The band Pavel Polanco-Safadit and Direct Contact, known for its energetic, fiery performances, just released its fourth studio album, “Día Bonito,” this summer.

Tom Alverez, theater critic and Dustin Klein, musician, joined us today to share more about this new show that also gives Tom the chance to honor his heritage.
