Get your ‘daytime vibes’ ready with these outfit ideas from Kiarra Looks

Daytime events are back on, and as we ease out of quarantine and back into social settings its important to make sure you have style options to feel good!

From brunch to baby showers, bridal showers, daytime outfits are key and always fun to put together. Here are some style ideas and inspiration to help you get the daytime vibes ready. Sometimes brunch is causal and sometimes its dressy, use these options to make sure you have a mix of everything. After being in the house for a year, we are not saying no to any brunch invitations. Brunch is ALWAYS a good idea.

Here’s Fashion Stylist Kiarra Logan, Kiarra Looks, with some outfit inspiration:

Statement Tops:
Think Puffy Sleeves. Think florals. The bigger the statement the better. You can pair statement tops with simple jeans and a good pair of heels for a chic brunch look. Don’t forget your sunglasses and daytime bag. Remember, these type of outings aren’t for larger bags. We are leaving the totes at home! Opt for small top handle bags; straw, box, you name it. Just remember to keep it smaller.

Neon Pops:

Neon is a fun way to hit the brunch scene. It can seem scary, but when you mix it with neutrals it adds a good balance! My client Liz, all the way in Spain, paired neon heels and tank with neutral colors to soften her daytime look. You could add the neon pop in accessories only and build from that!

Bermuda Shorts:

Bermuda Shorts and sky high heels are one of my personal go-to’s this summer. This outfit is from The Carpentry, a luxury boutique, that I absolutely love. Bermuda shorts are great to pair with crop, halter, or off the shoulder tops!

White button-up:

I know I talk about this all the time, but I just cant stress how easy they are to style for spring and summer. You should always keep a fresh one in the closet. Brittany styled hers with a chain belt and biker shorts for a chic brunch vibe. You could also knot it in the front, pair with straight leg jeans and heels!

Mini skirts:

Warmer weather means bring on the minis! I know some think they are hard, but try pairing with a kimono or longer flowing top to add some balance. I used a mesh white blouse to give this mini a more chic daytime feel. I chose to pair it with polka-dot heels because daytime is all about mixing patterns, prints, and colors.

Graphic Tees:

I love the way my client Brittney looked heading to her Broad Ripple Brunch. The graphic tee and heels was perfect paired with light color jeans. Graphic tees are so easy to style with jeans, skirts, and shorts. They also allow you to really bring personality into your look. Pick your favorite band, musician, celebrity, or tv show!

Spring Blazers:

Spring blazers are a must-have for every closet. You don’t need many, but find one in a color you love and go for it! You can pair them with blouses, tanks, jeans, and shorts. They really do have an endless amount of ways to style. I opted for sneakers with this look because I had lots of walking to do. Don’t be scared to style your favorite high tops.

Vintage:

Whats not to love? Every time I come on Wish Style I always mention vintage. I wear vintage often and the one thing I love is that its so unique. I got this lightweight NY Yankees jacket from Naptown Thrift and styled it for a chilly brunch at Petit Chou. Wearing heels and florals gave balance to the navy blue and oversized look. Vintage is something that always cool because its sustainable and won’t break the bank.

Polka Dots:

Check out my client Brittany in Atlanta! She was headed to a Mothers-Day and looked absolutely perfect. Polka dots are one of my favorite prints to style clients in this season. At first it seems like it could be busy, but try a few styles and you will see. We played around with a top, skirt, and dress, which she ultimately loved. I paired with her Neon Vetements heels to add the pop like I mentioned before.

Updating your closet can seem overwhelming, but with an open mind and a good stylist, you can be ready for all of the Brunches this year brings your way.
