Help fund AYS after school care with Art Yields Success
Art Yields Success for local AYS
AYS (www.ayskids.org) is having a fundraiser on March 13 from 5:30-9:30pm at the Regions Bank building (One Indiana Square). Every dollar from ticket sales goes to help families with after school care who might not otherwise afford it. Of the 2000 kids in Central Indiana who attend AYS after school, several hundred need the funding or risk being home alone until parents/guardians get home. The AYS Ellen Clippinger Financial Assistance Fund, named after the founder of AYS, helps qualifying, working families send their children to AYS programs through scholarships.
Tickets to the Art Yields Success event are $50 online or $60 at the door and parking is free in the Regions building that evening…so it’s pretty reasonable. Part of the auction will have art pieces made by the kids who attend AYS.
There will be several art demos at the event. All of which are art projects that AYS kids get to work on.
The art demo that Liliana and Keith worked on in the studio is a project similar to the Indiana wild flowers paintings done by John Strange AYS kids. The kids’ art will be auctioned off at the event.
